Backhand Brew is a community-focused indoor pickleball facility paired with a specialty coffee bar. Whether you’re here to compete, practice, relax, or just enjoy a great cup of coffee, we’ve created a space where pickleball and café culture come together.

We’re located in St. Michael, Minnesota, with convenient on-site parking available for guests.

No membership is required to play at Backhand Brew. We offer open play, leagues, clinics, private court rentals, and special events. Some programs may require advance registration.

Not at all. The coffee bar is open to everyone! Players and non-players alike. Stop in before work, host a book club, or enjoy a drink while watching games.

All skill levels are welcome - from beginners picking up a paddle for the first time to advanced competitive players. We offer skill-based leagues, clinics, and events to ensure fair and fun play for everyone.

We have paddles available for rent or purchase if you need them. You’re welcome to bring your own equipment as well!

Proper indoor footwear is essential to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the courts. Shoes worn outdoors are not allowed.
